Introduction

Ensure the floor is smooth and clean before applying the wall to wall carpet. Our guide on how to change wall to wall carpets in Dubai will advise and inspire you on everything from general wear and tear to the cost of installation and underlying wear, as well as how long you want your carpet to last.

Easy method:

Remove the doors, if possible, to make it easier to work. If your door is out of the way, you may easily chop off the door jambs if necessary.

Install the tackle strips by cutting them to size using a strip cutter or hefty snips. Attach strips ½” from the wall. You do not need to connect a gripper edge across entrances; instead, the strip should be sharp enough to push through the carpet and cause foot injury. Tackle strips come in a variety of sizes; make sure you use the correct size of tackle strip.

Install the carpet pad by designing it vertically in the desired direction and stapling it with a hammer near the tackle strips.

Alternately staple any pad seams that are not adjacent to each other. Modify the stuffing’s radius to ensure proper fit between the pieces.

Trim the pad: Use the knife to cut the padding forward of the stip’s interior edge.

Notch a corner for trimming: measure the room’s width and length, then add 3″. Cut the carpet from the rear on both sides to the appropriate length. Cutting the carpet outside is easier, and you can seek assistance from others.

Trim the carpet to size by rolling it from the back, facing outward, until the rough area shows. Then, run the chalk line from mark to mark. Cut the carpet away from the mark line and roll it up.

Trim the excess carpet: Keep the carpet as straight as possible into the room and cut the excess carpet, leaving 2″ extra from the wall.

Glue the seam together. Where the carpet edges meet, you must form a joint, but the joint edge must be straight. Don’t assume the factory edge is straight. Remove the seaming tape from under the seam. Apply the seaming iron directly to the tape for 20 to 30 seconds after heating it to the manufacturer’s specified temperature. Smoothly glide the iron over the tape and press the seam according to the instructions placed behind the press. After joining the pieces, place a heavy object on the seam and hold it for a while.

Trim around the obstacle: butt against the wall, use a knife to cut the carpet from the obstacle, then trim the excess carpet from the edge with a wall trimmer.

Stretch the carpet. Use a power stretcher to attach the strips to the room. For corners and alcoves, use a knee-kicker and a stair tool.

Stretch the carpet with a knee kicker to connect the hooks, then use a wooden block or scrap piece of lumber to secure the binder bar to the carpet’s edge.

Conclusion:

Once all the carpets are in place, finish trimming them by cutting off the vent openings. You can install Attach shoe molding throughout the space if you wish.
